Guoxuan Hi-Tech and Edison Power Join Forces to Expand Energy Storage and Battery Recycling in Japan

Guoxuan Hi-Tech, a leading Chinese energy storage firm, has entered into a strategic partnership with Japan’s Edison Power to penetrate the Japanese market. The collaboration aims to achieve an initial sales target of 1 GWh in the first year, with subsequent annual targets increasing to 2 GWh.

Under the terms of the agreement, Guoxuan Hi-Tech will supply batteries, modules, and battery management systems, while Edison Energy will oversee Japanese energy storage customer management, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services, as well as energy storage system operations and maintenance.

Guoxuan Hi-Tech has aggressively pursued growth in the energy storage sector since 2023, establishing strategic alliances with prominent Chinese and international photovoltaic and energy storage companies. The firm has also experienced success with its portable energy storage product, Gendome, which generated over $100,000 in sales within 24 hours of its crowdfunding launch on Indiegogo.

As part of their collaboration, Guoxuan Hi-Tech and Edison Energy will establish a circular energy storage battery recycling system in Japan. Guoxuan has been proactive in its battery recycling initiatives, launching a 50 GWh battery recycling project earlier this year and a 50,000-ton battery recycling production line in February.

The partnership with Edison Energy signifies a further expansion of Guoxuan Hi-Tech’s global business footprint. The company has set its sights on achieving 100 GWh of overseas production capacity by 2025, with a focus on Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia. Guoxuan Hi-Tech’s continued efforts to promote its products, technologies, and capital in international markets exemplify the growing presence of Chinese enterprises in the global new energy industry.
